This will be the 6^th successive Müller 10K Road Race in which we have seen a six fold increase in competitors since the launch in 2004. This year expect to see a wider range of attractions for all the family to enjoy, before, during and after the race.

Once again, Wincanton Logistics are kindly sponsoring the Fun Run, which last year attracted over 100 entries young and old alike! Thank you to them for their continued support.

But of course this event would not be a success without the help of the many volunteers that make the event run like clockwork and the competitors, so thank you for your support.

Date of race Sunday 10^th May 2009

Race Start & Finish - The race HQ is at the Market Drayton Sports and Leisure, Betton Road, Market Drayton, TF9 1HH. The actual race itself starts on the canal bridge, Newcastle Road which is a 200 metre walk from the HQ. Runners are to assemble at the Betton Road sports club before been walked round to the start by our race team.

The finish line is on the field of the Market Drayton Sports and Leisure Club.
We advise you to be at the centre, no later than 10:30am.


	Course - The Müller 10K Course is an AA/RRC certified accurate course. The course runs through Market Drayton and takes in Müller Dairy at the halfway mark. The course is described as undulating between 1 and 2 miles then relatively flat back to the finish line.

Start Times - The start time of the 10k Road Race is 11am prompt. Fun Run starts at 12:30pm.

Car Parking - Please park your car at the Grove School, which is approximately 250 metres from the Sports and Leisure Centre. This car park was full by 10am last year. Once full you will be directed to the overflow car parks at Towers lawn and Queen Street but please note these car parks are approx ½ mile from the start so you need to allow time for this. No car parking is allowed at the Sports and Leisure Centre. This is reserved for officials / St John’s First Aid etc.


	Race Numbers - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WEAR YOUR RACE NUMBER ON THE FRONT OF YOUR RUNNING VEST / TOP. If two or more people have entered from the same address, please note that names will be written on the back of the number. Runner information must be filled in on the back of the number in case of emergencies.

Race Transfer – What this means is if you are unable to take part in the race once you have received your number you can transfer the number to someone else without incurring a charge. A race transfer form needs to be completed which is enclosed. PLEASE NOTE: If you run in someone else's number without having it transferred you are liable to disqualification from the race.

Water Stations - A water station will be situated in front of Müller Dairy, just after the 3 mile mark and one at the finish line.

Showers & Changing Facilities - Showers & Changing Facilities are available at the Sports Club and the Grove School.

Toilets – there will be portable toilets available on the Betton Sports Club field and also at the Grove School. NOTE: There are no toilets inside the Betton Road Sports Club HQ.

Refreshments - Food & Drink will be available on the day as well as a licensed bar.

Prize Giving - Prize giving will be around 12:45pm, depending on the time of the last runner. No prizes will be given out until all runners have finished the race.

Product Giveaway – every runner in the 10K is entitled to one free tray of Müller product. This can be claimed after you finish the race by presenting your race number to a member of our staff at the product van which will be located by the sports club. In addition to this there will be a product tasting stand where you and your family / friends will be able to taste some of our range of delicious Müller product.

Security Tent – for 2009 we are offering a more secure baggage tent area which will be inside a marquee so instead of you having to go back to your car to leave your kit you can now leave your bags at our manned security tent on the Betton Road Sports Club HQ. Please do not leave valuables in your bags as though the tent is manned we cannot accept liability for missing items.
